ECO HOMES EXHIBITION, GEFFRYE MUSEUM, EAST LONDON
Oliver designs and co-curates Eco Homes exhibition at the Geffrye Museum, London.
Eco Homes which runs until February 7th 2010, examines the impact of the environment on our homes and suggests a number of ways in which households can reduce their carbon emissions. The exhibition envestigates not only the practical resource saving (gas, water, electricity) aspects but also how new materials will make our homes more eco conscious. It culminates in a display of beautiful designer-maker pieces which demonstrate the growing culture and diversity of Eco Chic.
Highlights include:
- The Water Wall - a visual representation of the 150 litres of water the average UK resisdent uses every day.
- Hand-Powered Electricity Generator which allows visitors to experience how much energy is required to power different types of lightbulb.
