SUSTAINABLE BUILDING DESIGN
"SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE MUST LOOK TO CONSIDER THE ENVIRONMENT AT ALL LEVELS, FROM MICRO TO MACRO, REDUCING THE BUILDING'S IMPACT WHILST CREATING INSPIRING PLACES TO INHABIT" - Oliver Heath.
The building must fulfil the function intended - Heath Design always
works closely with the client to develop and fulfil their brief -
producing architecture that surpasses the clients wishes, and
importantly - within budget.
Passive heating and cooling strategies must be designed to work
alongside high levels of insulation, renewable energy systems and low
energy technology to ensure that the building’s carbon footprint remains
as low as possible into its lifetime of use. Heath Design works with a
variety of leading consultants to ensure that all modelling and testing
can happen prior to design completion and budgets are spent efficiently.
These functional elements must be combined with an appropriate aesthetic
design solution - creating spaces that are as good to live with on the
outside as they are on the inside."
