Brief: To refurbish a Victorian terrace house.

Method: All the interior walls were removed and the house re-supported to create an open plan living space on the ground floor of this three storey terraced house. A new kitchen extension was built with full height folding doors to the patio and rear of the house. The structure was devised to enable the doors to fold away entirely with no central supporting column so when open allowed the courtyard to function as an interior room - an integral part of the house.
