Heath Design was asked to design and co curate the Eco Homes Museum at the Geffrye Museum In East London, investigating how environmental changes have impacted on the interior of homes, both functionally and aesthetically.
The challenge was to organise the arrangement of spaces to suggest a hierarchy of environmental importance; reducing use of resources, sustainable manufacturing and materials and recycling.
The exhibition showed both how wasteful we have been and how exciting developments in environmental products and materials can help us to live with a lighter footprint. The exhibition wa snot preachy but displayed practical, financial and style based reasons why it is having such an impact on the way we live.
