An exhibiton exploring various practices of bio-design; from grassroots projects to renowned architecture practices
In collaboration with our partners at Planted, we curated and implemented an immersive exhibition looking at the different strands of bio-design aptly named ‘[BIO]spaces: Regenerative, Resilient Futures’, hosted at the Zaha Hadid designed Roca London Gallery.
OHD and the Planted team brought together over 60 designers, products, projects and materials to explore seven forms of bio-design across seven ‘islands’: biophilic design, bio-based materials, biodiversity in design, biomorphic design, biomimetic design, and bio-regenerative design.
Exhibitors ranged from grassroots projects and makers to globally renowned architect, demonstrating the value of bio-design at every level. The content also aimed to be multi-sensory through incorporating touch-friendly material samples, videos and interactive features such as a daylight exposure chair.
The exhibit ran for nine-months, accompanied by a selection of talks and events from the architecture and design community. Bio-spaces was visited by a range of people: from professionals and clients to students from school-age to tertiary level.
